Turning 21

It's 1 hour old of me being 21 years old. Well it was no big difference from an hour ago.. Except the fact that I probably stop growing taller (my friend actually told me girls stop at the age of 16 but i refused to believe).. Or the fact that I would have to start caring for my skin twice as hard, it could be prone to wrinkle..

As conventional as it is, being 21 force you to become mature somehow. Suddenly, you can legally watch R21 movies or sign an agreement or lawfully eligible for some things in life. You became an adult.

On the lighter side, my dear galau roommate that probably no longer galau (hopefully not anymore) specially present me her birthday 'package'. I am not trying to be lesbian here but anyone will be touched with these lovely things. Take a look!

Solusi alamiah bagi kuku, rambut dan wajah

Kuku mudah patah

Cuka apel (cider vinegar)

Rendam kuku selama 10 menit dalam air hangat yang dicampur sesendok teh cuka apel. Setelah itu dibilas dan dikeringkan.

Rambut kering

Alpokat

300-500gr alpokat dilumat dan diusap meata ke seluruh bagian kepala. Tutup dengan handuk kering, diamkan selama 30-40 menit. Lalu, keramas hingga bersih. Coba lakukan rutin sebulan sebagai conditioner.

Jerawat

Kol/

Air kunyit

Cobalah kompres jerawat dengan kubis (kol) yang telah dihaluskan (diulek/diblender). Taruh kubis yang sudah dihaluskan lagi di atas kapas, lalu pakailah untuk mengompres jerawat.

*Bisa juga di jus karena kol bersifat membersihkan.

Lebih manjur lagi jika diikuti dengan minum segelas air kunyit sehari tiga kali. Caranya: aduk 1 sendok teh kunyit parut dengan air hangat, saring. Bubuhi air jeruk nipis untuk mengurangi rasa langu.

Dadar brokoli tomat
Untuk 2 porsi

Bahan:

2 sdm minyak sayur

1 btg bawang daun, iris tipis serong

1 siung bawang putih, cincang

2 buah cabe merah, iris serong tipis

100 gr jamur kancing, iris tipis

3 butir telur

½ sdt garam

½ sdt merica hitam bubuk

2 buah tomat merah, cincang

150 g brokoli, lepaskan kuntumnya, rebus sebentar

Cara membuat:

Panaskan minyak sayur dalam wajan dadar berdiameter 15 cm, tumis bawang daun, bawang putih, cabe merah, dan jamur kancng sebentar.

Kocok telur, garam, dan merica hitam. Tuangkan telur kocok ke dalam wajan dadar sambil ratakan.

Taburi atasnya dengan tomat cincang dan brokoli. Masak hingga dadar matang. Angkat.

Sajikan hangat.

Mango Lassi
Untuk 4 gelas

Bahan:

200 g daging buah mangga Arummanis yang tua

300 ml yogurt tawar

100 ml air jeruk manis (jeruk peras)

Es serut secukupnya

Cara membuat:

Kupas mangga, potong-potong daging buah mangga

Masukkan potongan mangga, yogurt, dan air jeruk manis ke dalam mangkuk blender. Proses hingga mangga lembut.

Tambahkan es serut, aduk rata.

Sajikan segera.

Super sour orange

Today is the second day in a row that I had MOS burger as my dinner except that I would prefer yesterday's hot teriyaki chicken burger than today's yakiniku rice burger. Somehow, I felt like the last yakiniku I ate was a lot better. Is my taste bud getting more sensitive or their standard gettin lower? I dare not comment.

Anyway, earlier on the day, I cooked some fried rice with pan fried potato wedges and omelette filled with purple onion, tomato, long beans. It was good except that fried rice is close to rock than soft rice. We still enjoy it though, because we had RCTI to accompany us! The short film we watched wasn't as entertaining as ytd's too. They made me emotional, with anger not sadness. It was as if they were making up some things that're alrdy so obvious to me. I couldn't help diverting my mind to imagining me reaching for the TV box, shaking it, lifting it up then threw it off from 14th storey height to the pool. It works. Made me feel lot better.

These little orangy coloured brats, they are sour as hell. Kinda like how HDR controlled the lighting of this picture.

Enough for today! Planning to sleep and wake up lil bit earlier than usual. Small step to healthier liver. Wish me luck!

I lost part of my last post which I typed with all my might about RCTI, a favourited TV channel we Indonesian will be familiar with, on how my roommate and I laughed at during our potato time at home. In the couch. This internet is so unpredictable. I swear I saved it in the draft. I hated it when it all gone to waste. Gahhh. Anyway, I'm glad my roommate started on blogging. A private one though. Finally a planned morning

It was never a day like I planned it to be. I've had no school for months ever since I graduated on 23 May (except for bridging course that went on for one and a half month), no work (you can't really count occassional part time), no courses or outside activities to attend to, no sports. I'm becoming a potato couch in my own bed.

So finally I'm gonna go swimming in the afternoon.. For the record, drank few hundred ml of mineral water and 2 sunkists before lunch time. Now my stomach has just recognised a cream cheese bread and waiting for another spicy floss to go in. Been a while since I had such a heavy joyful breakfast.

This is my first post approximately one year later ever since whoever reading this saw the post below. I had this bad habit of not continuing a hobby for very long time. You'll see me taking a long break from something before i jump back at it again. And usually i stary from almost zero.

But I have to tell you that I loveee my new blogging application. It's like a consolidated source of all amateur blogs i had in the past (still amateur blog up to now) and i don't have a hard time hopping from one blog to another. If only i develop this hobby a little bit earlier. Probably during my time back in lower secondary grade, that old me may want to try out journalism hah. Just saying.

Anyway, the reason i'm writing this post now isn't exactly showing how eager i am to rekindle the once lit candle of passion to blog. More like spending my time outside home, by the sea, 10 in the morning waiting for my girl friend with a hungry stomach for an awaiting great breakfast. The breakfast that i know i wouldn't have so often if i'm in Singapore.

Still I'm now waiting for her as the sea breeze can completely raise my hair off my face and almost off my head (apparently not a wig so, almost). The point is i want no rain for the beautiful morning!

Dalam hidup ini kita seringkali membuat berbagai kesalahan. Apa saja kesalahan-kesalahan yang sering dibuat tapi berakibat fatal.

1. MENYALAHKAN ORANG LAIN

Itu penyakit P dan K, yaitu Primitif dan Kekanak-kanakan. Menyalahkan orang lain adalah pola pikir orang primitif. Di pedalaman Afrika, kalau ada orang yang sakit, yang Dipikirkan adalah : Siapa nih yang nyantet? Selalu “siapa” Bukan “apa” penyebabnya. Bidang kedokteran modern selalu mencari tahu “apa” sebabnya, bukan “siapa”. Jadi kalau kita berpikir menyalahkan orang lain, itu sama dengan sikap primitif. Pakai koteka aja deh, nggak usah pakai dasi dan jas.Kekanak-kanakan. Kenapa? Anak-anak selalu nggak pernah mau disalahkan. Kalau ada piring yang jatuh,” Adik tuh yang salah”, atau “mbak tuh yang salah”. Anda pakai celana monyet aja kalau bersikap begitu. Kalau kita manusia yang berakal dan dewasa selalu akan mencari sebab terjadinya sesuatu.

2. MENYALAHKAN DIRI SENDIRI

Menyalahkan diri sendiri bahwa dirinya merasa tidak mampu. Ini berbeda dengan MENGAKUI KESALAHAN. Anda pernah mengalaminya? Kalau anda bilang tidak pernah, berarti anda bohong. “Ah, dia sih bisa, dia ahli, dia punya jabatan, dia berbakat dsb, Lha saya ini apa ?, wah saya nggak bisa deh. Dia S3, lha saya SMP, wah nggak bisa deh. Dia punya waktu banyak, saya sibuk, pasti nggak bisa deh”. Penyakit ini seperti kanker, tambah besar, besar di dalam mental diri sehingga bisa mencapai “improper guilty feeling”.Jadi walau yang salah partner, anak buah, atau bahkan atasan, berani bilang “Saya kok yang memang salah, tidak mampu dsb”. Penyakit ini pelan-pelan bisa membunuh kita. Merasa inferior, kita tidak punya kemampuan. Kita sering membandingkan keberhasilan orang lain dengan kekurangan kita, sehingga keberhasilan orang lain dianggap Wajar karena mereka punya sesuatu lebih yang kita tidak punya.

3. TIDAK PUNYA GOAL / CITA-CITA

Kita sering terpaku dengan kesibukan kerja, tetapi arahnya tidak jelas. Sebaiknya kita selalu mempunyai target kerja dengan milestone. Buat target jangka panjang dan jangka pendek secara tertulis. Ilustrasinya kayak gini : Ada anjing jago lari yang sombong. Apa sih yang nggak bisa saya kejar, kuda aja kalah sama saya. Kemudian ada kelinci lompat-lompat, kiclik, kiclik, kiclik. Temannya bilang: “Nah tuh ada kelinci, kejar aja”. Dia kejar itu kelinci, wesss…., kelinci lari lebih kencang, anjingnya ngotot ngejar dan kelinci lari sipat-kuping (sampai nggak dengar / peduli apa-apa), dan akhirnya nggak terkejar, kelinci masuk pagar. Anjing kembali lagi ke temannya dan diketawain.“Ah lu, katanya jago lari, sama kelinci aja nggak bisa kejar. Katanya lu paling kencang”.“Lha dia goalnya untuk tetap hidup sih, survive, lha gua goalnya untuk fun aja sih”.Kalau “GOAL” kita hanya untuk “FUN”, isi waktu aja, ya hasilnya Cuma terengah-engah saja.

4. MEMPUNYAI “GOAL”, TAPI NGAWUR MENCAPAINYABiasanya dialami oleh orang yang tidak “teachable”. Goalnya salah, focus kita juga salah, jalannya juga salah, arahnya juga salah. Ilustrasinya kayak gini : ada pemuda yang terobsesi dengan emas, karena pengaruh tradisi yang mendewakan emas. Pemuda ini pergi ke pertokoan dan mengisi karungnya dengan emas dan seenaknya ngeloyor pergi. Tentu saja ditangkap polisi dan ditanya. Jawabnya : Pokoknya saya mau emas, saya nggak mau lihat kiri-kanan.

5. MENGAMBIL JALAN PINTAS, SHORT CUT

Keberhasilan tidak pernah dilalui dengan jalan pintas. Jalan pintas tidak membawa orang ke kesuksesan yang sebenarnya, real success, karena tidak mengikuti proses. Kalau kita menghindari proses, ya nggak matang, kalaupun matang ya dikarbit. Jadi, tidak ada tuh jalan pintas. Pemain bulutangkis Indonesia bangun jam 5 pagi, lari keliling Senayan, melakukan smesh 1000 kali. Itu bukan jalan pintas. Nggak ada orang yang leha-leha tiap hari pakai sarung, terus tiba- tiba jadi juara bulu tangkis. Nggak ada! Kalau anda disuruh taruh uang 1 juta, dalam 3 minggu jadi 3 juta, masuk akal nggak tuh? Nggak mungkin!. Karena hal itu melawan kodrat.

6. MENGAMBIL JALAN TERLALU PANJANG, TERLALU SANTAI

Analoginya begini : Pesawat terbang untuk bisa take-off, harus mempunyai kecepatan minimum. Pesawat Boeing 737, untuk dapat take- off, memerlukan kecepatan minimum 300 km/jam. Kalau kecepatan dia cuma 50 km/jam, ya Cuma ngabis-ngabisin avtur aja, muter-muter aja. Lha kalau jalannya, runwaynya lurus anda cuma pakai kecepatan 50 km/jam, ya nggak bisa take-off, malah nyungsep iya. Iya kan ?

7. MENGABAIKAN HAL-HAL YANG KECIL

Dia maunya yang besar-besar, yang heboh, tapi yang kecil-kecil nggak dikerjain. Dia lupa bahwa struktur bangunan yang besar, pasti ada komponen yang kecilnya. Maunya yang hebat aja. Mengabaikan hal kecil aja nggak boleh, apalagi mengabaikan orang kecil.

8. TERLALU CEPAT MENYERAH

Jangan berhenti kerja pada masa percobaan 3 bulan. Bukan mengawali dengan yang salah yang bikin orang gagal, tetapi berhenti pada tempat yang salah. Mengawali dengan salah bisa diperbaiki, tetapi berhenti di tempat yang salah repot sekali.

9. BAYANG BAYANG MASA LALU

Wah puitis sekali, saya suka sekali dengan yang ini. Karena apa? Kita selalu penuh memori kan ? Apa yang kita lakukan, masuk memori kita, minimal sebagai pertimbangan kita untuk langkah kita berikutnya. Apalagi kalau kita pernah gagal, nggak berani untuk mencoba lagi. Ini bisa balik lagi ke penyakit nomer-3. Kegagalan sebagai akibat bayang-bayang masa lalu yang tidak terselesaikan dengan semestinya. Itu bayang-bayang negatif. Memori kita kadang- kadang sangat membatasi kita untuk maju ke depan. Kita kadang-kadang lupa bahwa hidup itu maju terus. “Waktu” itu maju kan ?. Ada nggak yang punya jam yang jalannya terbalik?? Nggak ada kan ? Semuanya maju, hidup itu maju. Lari aja ke depan, kalaupun harus jatuh, pasti ke depan kok. Orang yang berhasil, pasti pernah gagal. Itu memori negatif yang menghalangi kesuksesan.

10. MENGHIPNOTIS DIRI DENGAN KESUKSESAN SEMUBiasa disebut Pseudo Success

Syndrome. Kita dihipnotis dengan itu. Kita kalau pernah berhasil dengan sukses kecil, terus berhenti, nggak kemana-mana lagi.Sudah puas dengan sukses kecil tersebut. Napoleon pernah menyatakan: “Saat yang paling berbahaya datang bersama dengan kemenangan yang besar”. Itu saat yang paling berbahaya, karena orang lengah, mabuk kemenangan. Jangan terjebak dengan goal-goal hasil yang kecil, karena kita akan menembak sasaran yang besar, goal yang jauh. Jangan berpuas diri, ntar jadi sombong, terus takabur.Sudah saatnya kita memperbaiki kehidupan kita. Kesempatan terbuka lebar untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju.

Usaha dan tindakan tidak selalu menghasilkan keberhasilan/ sukses, tetapi… Tidak ada keberhasilan dan sukses TANPA usaha dan tindakan.

Monday blues, Lazy Tuesday..

Dreading Wednesday.... blah weekdays! They are annoying. Looking forward to meeting huan2 and family.

Today felt extremely heavy and sleepy. The more I read about the health article, the more I feel that I have extreme lacking of rest. Time, it doesn’t fly but so many things, so little relaxed time. Most of the time in a day is used up tensely. Sitting behind 1.5 meter length letter L desk with laptop even it’s tuck in wheeled arm chair felt horrible, especially if you do it for 9 hours without long break.

A grand toilet with sofa in it would be awesome.

The hottest wings in town

Tucked deep within a small corner of Seletar airbase lies a non-descript, no-frills joint called the Sunset Bar and Grill.

But strip away its friendly service and “Sunday barbeque” picnic feel and you’ll discover — at your own peril — that its kitchen is home to the hottest wings in Singapore (and, possibly, Batam and Malaysia).

By hot, i mean palate-busting, tongue-scorching, tear-jerking HOT.
I found out first-hand just how toxic its buffalo wings are when me and a couple of friends paid a visit to the cosy, well-hidden grill-cum-pub last Sunday.

The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s not easily accessible. It’s nestled so deep within Seletar airbase that as you drive in (walking is not advised), you’ll pass a series of crickety maintenance hangars for old planes. If you’re lucky, you might even pass a few fit-for-museum propeller planes and a private jet or two.

If you choose to sit alfresco in the early evenings, you’ll also get a good view of the sun as it sets. Situated literally right next to the Seletar airfield, it’s also not uncommon for low-flying aircraft and propeller planes to skim the horizon as they land or take-off.

The food is decent. It serves mostly western fare such as fish and chips ($15.50), mini-burgers ($14.50) and pork ribs ($29.80).

But the real highlight is, of, course, the wings. I’ll be the first to admit I love my chicken wings — fried, barbequed, buffalo, KFC or McDonald’s-style — I love them all. And upon first glance at the menu, I wondered to myself, “Come on, really, how hot can these wings be?”

In fact, when the friendly waiter advised that “rookies” like us should start with a ”Level 2″ (Level 1 and 2 are just normal chicken wings. Level 3 is when they start adding the chilli padi into the marinated batter and it goes all the way up to a Level 30), I scoffed and immediately ordered a half-dozen of “Level 3″ ($19.50).

The result? Suffice it to say it was an induction into hell on earth — in your mouth. Several gung-ho members of my group found the wings to be from a “Okay, what! Quite tolerable!” to a tear-squelching, “Can I have a pail of ice with my Coke?”

It got worse.

Seeing as we were already at the deep end, we took the plunge and went on to order a “Level 5″ before finishing off with a take-no-prisoners “Level 10″. Frankly, after a certain point, your tongue goes dead and you don’t taste anything. The secret? Wolf down the wings as quickly as possible and avoid the chilli paste stinging your lips and eyes.

Several Cokes and beers later, and after the mini-explosion in my stomach had subsided, I felt pretty pleased about myself — after all, I had conquered a “Level 10″ whereas the table beside ours was struggling to polish off a half-dozen “Level 5″s.

My sense of satisfaction was short-lived after I chanced upon the Sunset Grill “Chili Heads Hall of Fame” — a wall dedicated to the adventurous folks who’d tried the Level 30 and survived to tell the tale. It was…a pretty long wall.

Despite its ultra-hidden location, the establishment has a large loyal following. On a Sunday evening, the 100-seater or so bar was packed to the rafters.

Business was so good that the bar’s American owner, Jerry Griffis, 76, declined to have his picture taken.

The former businessman, who used to run an aerospace engineering firm and has been living in Singapore for the past 35 years, said, “I really don’t need the publicity. As you can see, I’ve got more business than I can handle right now.”

And he was right.

My friends and I weren’t the only ones crazy enough to tempt death by chilli.

Friday is blue

Friday is a favourite day. I can wear whatever I like, or almost whatever, to office. It's the end of my weekdays, start of my "holiday". Weekend should be fun and exciting. But guess where am I now? at home! Will be at home till weekend's over, plus Monday! Can you imagine how boring i will be, when i'm already sick of the room light that blink every few seconds like a disco theme and cockroaches running everywhere in the house that made me keep my feet off the ground most of the time? Or every now and then when the electric bill come close to zero and the whole house turn dark and silent? Gees, it's worse than a haunted house.

Anyway, the doctor doesn't have any idea why the hell i have rashes on my face. I have to wait for dermatology appointment in Changi General Hospital they refer to, on 25th August! Repeat 25th august! That's the earliest they can book. Whaaaat is this. What if my rashes got worse. What if the company send me for rest. What if my school cancel my internship. I am as sure as hell have no idea what disease I am suffering nao.

After wandering into myspace, tumblr, or whatsoever social blogging site, i just can't resist to run back to blogspot's arms. I kind of stick to blogspot more than any blogging site.
so here i am. Typing from the 6th floor Lantiq office in 8 Kallang Sector, one of the most unique building in Kallang Industrial Park that you can easily identify Infineon Building as ship/cruise look-alike design from the expressway. Was it CTE, KPE, PIE? MUD PIE? Okay, no not another food. Although the breakfast was too light. Nooooo~

Today's weather is extremely lazy. If you ask me to describe the weather, it's probably like a heavy drizziling. I almost lost the to the temptation of rolling back to sleep this morning. The office atmosphere is filled with chattering and background sounds, but still, not able to warm the cold air and my freezing feet from the soaked palm flats and long winding walk to Infineon Building.
It's even colder after lunch, although driving out of working area to some well-know hawker centre to enjoy the sumptious fried fish with beehoon soup felt so good and refreshing.

thinking of how my eyes were so dry these few days thanks to Hai Pai Tian Xin. that drama seriously squeezed my tears out. enough of tears. i have never been so addicted in Taiwanese drama before. the last time i paid so much attention to a show was korean's Antique bakery. that drama is seriously beyond hilarious!

ps: prilly the roomie is doing whatever project she is doing, making herself repeat writing 'business' word thrice. her spelling memory seemed to be gone for the moment. maybe it's the blocked nose :D

in short, my recent days had been fulfilling. to me it was meaningful enough. life wasn't as dull as expected. despite the hard and long hour work. despite the boiling blood waiting for HP hotline to pick up my call. despite freezing bus journey that caused me sitting numb. i still love everything that happen.

i've learnt that after completing three school reflectve journals within 2 hours for submission the next morning, it is best to back up every file i have. -.=

oh, i can just write another reflective journal here. just to bore you out.

anywayyyy, i got my baby back! yessss!
i have been missing my dear laptop for freaking 2 and a half weeks!

it feels so fresh and clean, like i just got a new one.
ok. maybe not very satisfied with the new and clean hard disk memory i have.
but who cares? it's not like all the memories i had inside are memorable. some too hurtful to bear. i should just erase them off. which i did, cuz i had no choice!

i had no idea why i was following nez to Dover and looked for asy in her optical shop.
part of it probably breaking free from my studying ritual of staying at home for 2 freaking days. that almost drive me crazy. of course you get eye check up too. :D thanks asy for the service.

so we managed to fulfill our initial goal for studying. so we settled down in the sofa which so far is the most comfortable place and totally forgot about catching train back home. plus the starbucks is 24 hours. we stayed there till morning and finally get home at 3am. i tried my best to ignore the fact that i have 2 tests the next morning.

waking up early in the morning when no one in the house is awake, and you have to wake up from your 3 hours sleep for test. that feeling is dreadful.

but anyway, that was overrrr.
the celebration began. ignoring the fact of a postponed test the coming Wednesday.
fish spa and back massage. the feeling is indescribable. :D
steamboat. my tummy loves it.
how i wish everyday is like that.
(beside having to think of a way to slip my sleeping time in!)

the whole morning was slept away.
i woke up with nobody at sight, just the sound of heavy pouring and thunder.
since when i got so stuck up with the thunder sound (>.<)
damn. i used to hear my grandma said, as you grow older, there are more things you worry.

today, i walked halfway through the usual soccer field path, enjoying the windy day and thinking of how nice the weather's gonna be. five seconds later, rain poured in so i have no choice but run throughout the rest of the path towards the sheltered bus stop. a drenched look all over; half-dried shampooed hair, water polkadot on grey top and jeans, sticky shoes feeling.

i crossed the overhead bridge and waited 518 bus for 30 minutes, my drenched hair has dried. i saw Prilly across the road waiting for her bus. and in the morning i rushed before her just to get to orchard earlier. FMLIA.

second week of the new semester. i can already imagine how hectic the next few months are gonna be. all FBI students do. well, at the very least, we should do something. showing some effort. even if it doesn't turn out that fantastic, at least we tried. less worry more happy. :D

i thought why can't we just give our best, rather than asking at our best? it applies to almost everything. work too. people too. such a simple thing to do. i would like to attempt. ignoring every possibly hurting thoughts. you know i know, we all know. maybe not everyone understands this post, it seems like this is directed more to myself.

anyway, school is always fun when you can laugh around and have a break from the suffocating mind. shall continue post some other time. i promise myself i am going to have breakfast tomorrow. and be feminine for Chen Huan, since it's her special request i can't help it, although i felt like cracking up sometimes with the way i have to carry myself with such dressy and demure look.

our life is changing in every possible way, everyday.

first day back again in Singapore after a long term break overseas is usually never comfortable.

my mind and body has somehow adapted this mindset over 5 years. i have not yet think of a way to change it. >.<

3 weeks have past.

sometimes you dread over it sometimes you felt it was too fast running past you.

this holiday has been meaningful that:

- Know there's no use dreading over a lost camera

- I can improve dialects, i haven't been talking so much about my life to grandma

- Read 5 cm by Dhonny Dirgantoro and made me think a lot over myself

- Wake up early, turn in early, i felt so healthy :D

- Officially turn 19. (wew, this is like the end of my 1- age) no more starting of 1 next year.

- Get as crazy as i want

- On holiday in such a big group

- I met a lot of people whom i thought will be awkward to strike a conversation with.

- Had no choice but to talk to them, and it's not that bad :)

- Some people who survived the earthquake. maybe not the house, but thank God they're fine. My condolences for some others who may not be so fortunate, may you be rest in peace.

come to think of that, we are just a small part of the world, you can be in Padang when earthquake stroke. or in Sulawesi when flood came. or in Jakarta when the terrorists were alive. nobody knows, our lives can end any moment. in any place. it may not be something you want. it may not when you want it to end. or who can be by your side at that time. so be someone helpful to others, it's the least we can do. :)

finished exploring Heather McElhatton's Pretty Little Mistakes i borrowed from Asy. pretty addictive, 1 beginning with 150 endings. you get to choose what kind of life you want to lead.

read about 25 endings so far, i was kinda disappointed that most of it ended up too abruptly and naughty and unglam. only 5 of them ended beautiful with just ONE of them long-lived with peaceful ending. anyway, that's not what i wanna do in real life too because i don't want to stay with a woman till old age in a farmhouse with vast land and lots of reared animals. story book is still a story book. i want a future of my own.

daaaamn. i'm suffocating at home.

i don't usually stay at home like this, but here i was, and still am.

my whole morning was taken away by sleep, with meaningless and endless dream.

i woke up with 3 things in mind-bath, laundry and sorting out books.

okay, at least i did 2 out of 3, after 3 hours in front of computer screen with blank mind.

the more i think about changing, the more my head filled with plans to adjust back this chaotic body clock of mine. having first meal at dinner time and second meal at dawn will sure enough fulfill the fasting procedure already. and for me, that ain't a good news. but i'm still doing it.

i miss home. random, but i really miss home.

when i stepped out of the house, the view of families eating together in a round table foodcourt downstairs made me felt homesick so much.

time to give the wardrobe a good care.

jalan kayu prata curry is very nice and spicy :D and i wonder why lrt stations are so close to each other like you can walk from one station to another within 5 minutes, but you have to wait once every 15 minutes for the train to come. all in all, had a grrrrrreeeeeeeat time. ^^

ok, the light is on now. the other two people in my room is discussing psychology where a just-wake-up woman who admits that part of her name is a theme park in Japan is interviewing a just woke-up and insist an "i-just-bathed" statement (ok, in this case she already did) for her psychology test tomorrow.

french lesson this morning is a 10 mins consultation about our role play. breaking record. i woke up one and a half hours earlier to type the dialogue out from our written script.

felt completely good today after seeing people getting lost control last night in Ice-Cold. haha. nice feeling anyway. it's good to see some other crazy side of your classmates :D apart from the fact that one or two of them may turn a bit violent.

when you keep thinking over how contradicting a mind can be, it gets rather confusing at times. there are some thoughts in you that you couldn't help thinking over and over again because it makes no sense to you. or it makes you sick and hurt. or it brings back some unpleasant playback in the back of your head. shitty.

anyway, Monday blue is over. waking up at 8.50am for 9 morning class is a total mess. it doesn't feel good at all. so no matter how insomniac i get tonight, im not gonna turn on my laptop again. i will be sleeping before 1! yeah, made up my mind. (>.<)

what has got into me these days, attending people's lecture. goodness, i should stop doing this because i regretted attending pril's 2 hours OB lecture. i almost dozed off for the last one hour. man, should just go home and get some sleep.

psychology makes me imagine no further how scary human personality can be. sometimes it hurts me not realizing what some people truly think and feel, at the same time i am scared myself cuz after i get to know what their mind is like, i don't feel like getting any deeper anymore. indeed complicated.

do traumas change people that much?
how can one pretend something that affects his/her life so much never happened at all, and keep it to themselves, appearing to be all strong and steadfast when they are not?

gawd, i have no idea at all. the lesson, it doesn't seem to give me guidance~

enough of that, it's gonna boil my blood even more.

i really feel like getting some workout recently. with people around me battling with their sickness, i don't wanna be sick, because there is no point being sick and staying, rotting at home with only TV and computer as accompanion. that would freaking bored me out..

so we were at Raffles Starbucks celebrating the end of IT show, we were all so tired we settled down in some wooden chair in the middle of the room.

you know some people use tissue to chop a place in the eating spots. so this cute friend of mine lifted up her plate of brownie and cup of Frappe, half-running down towards the end of the room where the remaining tables around including us stared at her, amazed.

initially, i thought she would want to clean up the plates like what most people do in fast food restaurant. i thought it's weird since she hasn't finished her food and drink.

our amazement was eventually answered when she was talking to a Caucasian near the sofa in the corner where a couple just left. that Caucasian guy kept on pointing to the sofa with laptop on his side right after my friend exclaimed "Oh, shit!" and i heard her saying "No, it's alright".

3 of us followed her sight until she came back to our table to find us burst out laughing! she's saying something like "I was eyeing for that sofa from just now" or something like that i was too busy with my stomach hurting for laughing too hard.

anyway, we got some sofa seats beside the Caucasian not long after that.

There are so many of them, they continue to amaze you with lots of unique things you haven't seen or experienced.

I saw a backpack travel program on TV recently and spotted a country located at the central of Europe called Belarus, An unknown country to most travelers, but one with its own fascinating must-see landmarks. 940 years old city.

Minsk is the capital city, 180 km away from Vilnius, the largest and capital of Lithuania. 700 km apart from Moscow. Its territory is in direct border with Poland, Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine.

Getting there

The National Airport Minsk is the major international airport in Belarus. There are flights to other airports in other towns, though they are not that large-scale. The Minsk airport is located some 50 km from Minsk.

The national airline of Belarus is Belavia. Belavia has direct flights to major cities in Europe (Frankfurt, Vienna, Kiev, London, Moscow, Paris, Riga, Rome, Warsaw, etc.). There are also daily flights of Lufthansa to Frankfurt and Austrian Airlines to Vienna. Other airlines flying to Belarus include LOT (Polish Airlines), EL AL (Israeli Airlines), Lithuanian Airlines, Estonian Airlines and others.

Rail
There are regular trains between Minsk and practically every major capital in Europe. Most Belarusian towns can be reached by railway.

Public transport network connects Central Terminal to all the parts of the city.

Bus
There are several bus stations in Minsk, though most of international arrivals come to the Central Bus Terminal. This terminal offers few facilities of its own, maybe because it is next to the Central Rail Terminal, which has all of those.

By car
A payment for entering Belarus and for transit through its territory is required for all vehicles. The fee ranges from US$ 20 to $155. Besides you will be required to fill-in the details of your vehicle into the customs declaration and purchase a motor-car insurance (that's apart from a personal insurance).

There is one toll highway (M-1 / E-30) in Belarus from Brest to Moscow, the fee ranges from US$ 1 for passenger cars to $15 for large truck.

Places worth visits:

The ruins of the palace of the magnate Sapega in Ruzhany. The architect Jan Samuel Bekker designed a palace ensemble composed of two buildings. The buildings were decorated by stucco moldings and fumed oak. The impressive main entrance gate in the form of triumphal arch remained intact till today.

An Old Palace near the village Kossovo, with a touch of Neo-Gothic design architecture that was once popular in the early 19th century.

The Mir castle, known to every Belarusian. The castle was encircled with earthworks and bastions. The castle is included into the list of the UNESCO monuments.

The Brest Fortress. Major tourist sight today. The design of the fortress was approved by the Emperor Nicholas I in 1830. It occupied the territory of the Old Town. The fortress appeared to be a masterpiece of military engineering as well as an outstanding work of art. By the beginning of the 20th century the fortress was the main Russian outpost on the western border. However the present fame was gained by the Brest Fortress during the years of the Great Patriotic war. Its garrison resisted heroically for one month.

my life and its facts

Bonjour!

Just some random facts of the day:

1. I just had my first meal of the day. The clock now indicates 14.46.

2. I had no idea how i survived in front of my lap's screen until 5am last night (or rather just
now).

3. There are some excitement in me when i scanned through the horoscope readings a while ago,
and whether it's accurate or not it just made me happy :P

4. Basically, half of my day today is wasted for rotting at home. I'm all lethargic.

5. I feel like having my 2nd meal of the day in TP since it is peaceful and not many people will be
in the canteen during holiday period.

6. My roomy is now asleep for the second time, lying beside me in the bed and spread me that
sleepy aura. =S

travelling back timeline:

we had a so called mass house washing the other day. cleaning house is just draining my energy out. like the whole water content in your body being used up. completely exhausted. and i felt so guilty i had to kill the cockroach. i recalled nez sprayed HIT to the disturbing cockroach in the bathroom and it was struggling for its life. she had to use broom as a last resort to end its life. argh~ it was too excruciating, i din't dare to look at it. but what to do? life's just like that uh. cruel, realistic. let's not discuss it any further. =S

anyway anyway, the outing was fun! lots of craziness. more craziness = more fun! i love it i love it! especially when you have nothing else in mind, nothing but happiness. <3 tonnes of stoopid shots will be uploaded in fb. =D

what a day

it was a stupid morning, idiot me and pitiful laptop. =S
i thought my early wake up could be used as an opportunity to talk to my landlord about the moving out matters. aih~ i was unusually long in the bathroom this morning.

and then, the next thing is just so embarrassing but i have to tell, so that nobody is gonna create the same carelessness again.

so, the story goes . . .
ahemp~ i was tying up my shoelace in the neighbour's doorstep (i have nowhere to sit and tie) as usual, with bag in my lap and my notebook on the side, going to go library for projects.

i felt so fresh this morning, stood up and headed to the lift, went down, crossing the road taking 69 to TP east gate before changing to 23 to Bugis. all the while, i didn't even realise that my laptop wasn't with me! i was panicked when i stared at passers checking for bus route, i realised i just left my laptop in someone else's doorstep!

rushed back and found my lappy there, i was so relieved. poor poor notebook, i think it's already knocked hard more than twice! luckily, you are one tough thing.

so that's the end for my day. lol.

Kentut adalah kegiatan dimana mahkluk hidup mengeluarkan gas buangan dari lubang yang berada di bawah belakang (anus), seperti sebuah knalpot kendaraan. Namun gas buangan ini tidak terlalu jelas terlihat, kecuali sedang berada dalam air. Gelembung-gelembung udara akan tampak di belakang orang yang sedang kentut.

firstly, i went to pizza hut with pril and we chatted for quite some time there. not long ago, an indo friend of mine told me that he met my family in pizza hut. they were having dinnr there too, just different place!

secondly, i am just so happy. it was just too much of a coincidence. refused to comment. XD
this is more or less telling me why i am so happy. except some missing evidence.

i can't believe i actually went through the CASH lecture slides! wew, here i am, done reading it all and can't wait to get some rest after a whole session of exhausting my mind.

today's been great and tiring. all the trip down to chinatown with sandals that has opening like crocodile mouth will exhaust your feet! (try it if you don't believe me). walked all the way down with nez to mrt and grabbed pepperlunch in dhoby ghaut.all the agent and tenant stuff is enough to make my head explode. i really hope that the tropica owner can accept us as her tenants~ *praying hard* i couldn't think of any other way to press down the price or starting from scratch and looking for a new agent to find us hdb unit. oh it sure wastes lots of time =S

the next burden in mind will be $$$$$. the thing that can drive you to heaven and throw you to hell. either way, you still need $$$. ironic.

the world surely knows how to make you spend your money. forcefully. anyway anyway, let's not think about that.

maybe from the other point of view, a non-materialistic angle, money isn't some powerful tool that can buy anything you want. you can't buy back love. you can't buy back a person you love, of course. once they are gone, that's it. there is no use dreading over it. yes.

ah, and Mother's day yes. Long time since a proper post! =D
headache, big headache now..

i've been looking forward to get out of this small cramped room and i'm so delighted i finally found myself an alternative place to stay! we were planning, and still are, to rent a simple unit so that we can use the kitchen all we want~ yoohooo..all the happy things..

and now it's the sad thing, the cheaper HDB units are just so not suitable and the desperate me called up another agent to find out that he only have all the private apartments and condominiums!

anyway, we negotiated the price and all that, we finally settled down with two choices, and still looking out for another person to share the place with us, otherwise the fee is way too burdening!~

so anyone looking for place to stay, (and don't mind to stand a lil' noise from us =P) you are welcomed to join us, as fast as you can! we are moving in next month i guess!

there is probably nothing else you wanna know about me, but i really wish you could know one thing i've learnt from you.

dear food lovers, any of you by chance willing to buy a box of nasi lemak for S$8.00? even if it's Food Republic selling that, how can such a traditional food be so costly? to me the quality is almost the same. like the coconut rice is of any much fragrant than the ones they sell in small stalls for $2.50? yeah, that's the expense of staying in a country with high standard of living.
ok, the food does taste nice, so i'll save up the rest of the comments (which i don't have much left =D)

apart from that, it's been a tiring day i even thought it's already Friday, really looking forward to the gathering again. woke up at 7 plus in the morning and ended school at 7 pm is worse than having a bad day at work. my mind completely shut down.

still after French lecture, caught bus to Novena and enjoyed my exclusive nasi lemak plus homemade fried rice. sometimes your body just refused to listen to your min d. had fun till got home with wet looks thanks to the downpour. the wind is powerful. and cold. i could felt my arms shivering the moment i alighted from bus. we had a good time though. =)

beginning of a new chapter

it's been 10 days since i came back.
my 10 days of the same old routine:
of dreading home-cooked food,
of looking for some companion,
of homesick,
of every little blessing thing i've been having for 14 years.
and 2 days has past since school started.

that also means, there'll be 4 more days to freedom and vacation!
i'm counting down desperately.

es expected, start of new term isn't something i'm looking forward to. you can say it's the least thing i wanna think about, unless you talk about counting down to term break. the timetable is demoralising enough. assignment on the first day really turn me off.

yes yes. im gonna stop complaining. =D

30 mins lecture break from the sudden blackout. haah! demonic face, isn't it? aigooh, omen.

someday, it's going to get tough again. minds are just so hard to guess. and stress from just looking at the dreadful timetable is nothing. another dilemma, it's tangling my neck, filling up my thoughts with you. goodness, it has to stop!
